Jacob Reed

Jacob Reed is a writer, director, and performer from San Diego. He has written and directed for Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, Funny or Die and Above Average. His TV writing credits include Matt Besser'€™s Comedy Central sketch special This Show Will Get You High and the Emmy-nominated Night of Too Many Stars.

At UCB, Jacob performs weekly on Tuesday nights with Bangarang! and on Fridays as host of the Long Hard Improv Jam. He has performed in countless shows at the theatre over the last seven years including the improvised movie with Rough Cut, The UCB Thanksgiving Day Parade, Comedy Death Ray Sketch and as an occasional host of The UCB Variety Hour and Not Too Shabby. He has studied under Matt Besser, Ian Roberts, and Matt Walsh.

Jacob is also one half of the sketch group Tremendosaur. Reviewed by LAist as ‘a two-man sketch comedy beast,’ Tremendosaur has had multiple show runs at the UCB and been featured in The Hollywood Reporter, New York Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and all over the information super internet. He is also the co-host of the Before You Were Funny Podcast.
