David Ferguson

Dave Ferguson is a writer and performer from Dayton, Ohio and a graduate of Ithaca College. Dave is a member of the sketch group The Birthday Boys, currently writing and performing a new half-hour sketch show every month at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. The group has been selected for a number of comedy festivals, including Sketchfest NYC, Seattle Sketchfest, the Los Angeles Comedy Festival, Chicago Sketchfest, San Francisco Sketchfest, UCB's Inaugural Ultimate Comedy Bash, and the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival. Dave is a co-host of UCB's weekly sketch showcase Not Too Shabby.

Individually, Dave's writing credits include MTV's Popzilla, Matt Besser's This Show Will Get You High, 2010 MTV Movie Awards, Comedy Bang Bang, and NTSF:SD:SUV::. Additionally, Dave is a writer for Funny or Die. He has also produced live comedy for UCB's Sketch Cram, Comedy Bang Bang, Bob Odenkirk's Not Inappropriate Show and Heroic Man, and a number of other showcases. He currently teaches sketch writing at UCB.

Dave's television acting resume includes Axe's World's Manliest Rituals campaign and episodes of The Office, Childrens Hospital, NTSF:SD:SUV, Conan, and the Fox pilot Tax Man. He also performed in Charlyne Yi's plays Life and World of Pain.

Dave previously worked in comedy development for Imagine Television for four years, producers of Arrested Development, 24, Parenthood, and Friday Night Lights.

Dave is best known as a personal friend to fellow performer and larger-than-life Los Angeles personality, Michael Mitchell.
