Jimmy Dore
Jimmy Dore was born into a catholic family of 12 on Chicagoʼs south side. Tagged a rebel for occasionally reading a book and thinking for himself, Jimmy turned to comedy to help make sense of the world. It didnʼt work, but it got him on T.V.
Jimmy turned his natural suspicion of government and religion, and his disgust of the corporate news into first UCB show Pop&Politics. That show was the basis for Citizen Jimmy his new One Hour stand-up special premiering this August on Comedy Central.
His other television credits include his own 1/2 hour Comedy Central special, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Late Show on CBS, NBCʼs Late Friday, Premium Blend, and even other less known shows.
No stranger to the international scene, Jimmy been invited to the most prestigious comedy festivals around the globe, including the Montreal Festival, Aspen US Comedy Arts Festival, and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Jimmy fell in love with the UCB theater while in New York performing in the Off-Broadway hit The Marijuanalogues. He attended an Asssscat show and has never been the same since.
