Josh Covitt

Josh Covitt is an actor/writer/director/editor/math tutor from Encinitas, CA. He's studied with UCB since early 2006 and his credits include The Attack!, Sketch Cram, Cagematch, Under The Influence, Pimp'd, and We Got Next.

Josh, with Whit Hertford, is the co-founder of The Attack, the internet sketch group who's videos have been featured on YouTube, CNN, The Huffington Post, UCBComedy, Funny or Die, Crackle, and Break, among other outlets. His work can also be seen in many other viral videos, including the tremendously popular Marijuana Brownies - The 911 Call and Huckabee Girl.

His two-man improvised musical group, The Spaders, performs all over Los Angeles as well as UCBNY as part of the Del Close Marathon.

Before coming to UCB, Josh completed the Groundlings School training program, where he developed his popular Power Ballads 101 sketch that Variety called "captivating [and] hilarious."

Josh has also performed stand up at The Improv, Laugh Factory, Ice House, The Comedy Basement (NY), and Amused Moose (London).

He is currently developing multiple web-series and planning a trip to Machu Picchu.
