Annie Mebane
Current Shows
Writer/performer Annie Mebane grew up in south Florida and attended Emerson College. After four years in Boston, she moved to LA because she missed palm trees and strip malls. She has trained at iOWest (where she performed with the Harold team Hey Swayze!) and at UCBLA. Her original one act play, She Always Told Me, was seen at the Fake Gallery and the Hudson Guild, where it earned LA Weekly's Go! She co-wrote and co-directed ITVFest 2006 Comedy Selection, Orastories, and is the producer/writer of two web series, Yoga Action Squad and Easy Bake Lovin' (which was seen in 2008 on Comcast On Demand).
She and her writing partner, Steve Basilone have written for Happy Endings on ABC and Breaking In on FOX. They currently write for NBC's Community. Elsewhere on TV, you can see her in several national commercials, and once, Paris Hilton call her a "Horndog" on Paris Hilton's BFF2. Truly a proud moment.
Credits at UCB include The Quick & Funny Musicals, craigsLOST, The Twitter Show, Sketch Cram, and Not Too Shabby. Annie is proud to perform most Monday nights with her Harold team, Arts & Athletics.
