Julie Brister
Julie Brister is an performer and a long time teacher at the UCB Theatre.
As an actor she has appeared on The Tonight Show, Reno 911, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Little Britain USA, Spike TV, MTV, FUSE, and she can be seen regularly as Lauralee Hickock on the Onion News Network show In the Know with Clifford Banes. Her short video "Book It!" was a finalist in Oxygen's Create-a-Series contest.
Julie has performed her solo-show Fatparts at UCB and at San Francisco Sketchfest. She played Crystal Conners in Showgirls! The Best Movie Ever Made! Ever! She is co-creator of Laid Up! and Put it in You! The Sex Ed Musical. Other UCB credits include Sketchcram, Buy Beg Borrow or Steal, the improvised soap Chastity Cove, WUCB Action News, Filet of Film, Todd Barry's Icky and Beyond the Valley of the Switchblade Pussycats. Her directing credits at UCBT include The Mysterious Affair at Mr. Bendernagle's Luau, Get Evolved, The Adventures of Lock and Kay, Cardboard Follies, Double X, Of Mice and Tara and Michael, and Crush.
