Nate Shelkey

Nate is an actor and writer from the not-so-deep south of Northern Virginia. Nate started improvising in New York and the UCB in 2001 and now calls the City of Angels and UCBLA home. In addition to playing on the Harold teams gigawatt, Arsenal, and Kill Your Darlings and Maude Teams 27 Kidneys and Gorilla Gorilla--you might have spied him in shows like Get Psyched! as "Nathan". As Tony Danza and Nate have discovered, it's easier to play characters when they're named after you. Less to forget.

He has appeared on television on 30 Rock, Comedy Central, ESPN in Kenny Mayne's The Mayne Event, the PBS mini-series Windy Acres, MTV's Damage Control, and E! News Daily. He is also Ken Schenk on In The Know for the Onion News Network and the voice of the cow "Captain Beefheart" for the series of cartoon shorts, Farminals. If you love commercials, you might like his varied repertoire in such roles as Mouse, Man-Baby, and Man Without Pants. He is also a singer/songwriter who writes hooky pop. Nate is totally excited for his new Harold team The Racquet.
