Jon Mackey
Jon Mackey is a writer/director/improviser, raised in a small town in North Carolina (Columbia, NC; population: 807). He graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the fall of 2007 with a degree in Media Studies and Production. Then he made what at the time seemed like a super weird choice to move to LA. So he got on an airplane, with two suitcases, and jumped across the country.
Since moving, the choice has started to seem less weird. Jon started studying improv at UCB in December of 2008, and has met some of the coolest folks in the process, and now feels TOTALLY at home here in Los Angeles. Jon writes, directs, and shoots videos that can be found on the internet, with fan reviews ranging from “this is funny” to “where’s the tits in this video?”
Jon can be seen performing around town with his 3-man team Tall Tall Small and a whole host of other great indie teams, but is eternally grateful for the opportunity to perform at Harold Night with Winslow, some of the nicest, funniest, and most talented people he has ever met in his entire life.
Jon doesn’t feel weird at all anymore. He can’t wait to meet you.
