Alan Lebetkin is an up and coming young comedian known for his fresh perspective and performance style. Born and raised in the South, Alan’s early influences were humorists such as Mark Twain and David Sedaris. Bold comedians like Mitch Hedberg and Maria Bamford later drew him to stand-up comedy, which he now practices every waking minute, even when he’s supposed to be doing something else.

Alan made his stand-up debut at the Open Mic of Love in Westwood, CA. Soon he was performing all over Los Angeles as a new fixture of the comedy scene. A natural comedian, Alan’s point of view covers topics as diverse as Shakespeare, hip hop, extra-terrestrials, and his unique personal experience as a twin.

Alan continues to earn praise for his strong writing ability that rewards audiences of many different backgrounds. He graduated from Duke University with degrees in English and film, and trained at the distinguished Upright Citizen’s Brigade and iO West theatres in Hollywood. In addition to stand-up, Alan performs improv, sketch comedy, produces a comic strip, makes viral videos, and runs a popular monthly variety show at the Westside Eclectic Theatre in Santa Monica.
