Mel Cowan, Texas native, loves the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. He gets in touch with his delicate/long-form improv side with his Harold team, Sentimental Lady, as well as writing and performing sketch with thirty:30 and his Maude team, The Mess. Before finding his current position at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, he worked as a freelance writer, working for everything from defunct alternative weeklies to defunct websites. It's totally not his fault. In his spare time, Mel writes as many words down as he can before he forgets what they mean.
