Paul Scheer

Performer Headshot
In 1998, Paul joined the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in NYC. There he performed with Respecto Montalban who have been called "funny and incredibly talented" by Fox's Good Day New York. In 2003 Respecto was voted "Best NYC Improv Show" by the ECNY Awards. Respecto finished their New York tenure with a 6-month sold-out run of a political satire show directed by Adam McKay (director/writer of Anchorman). In that time Paul also created/starred in the long running and award winning variety show Automatic Vaudeville which the Hollywood Reporter labeled one of the top five shows in the country.

Paul can currently be seen weekly on VH1's critically-praised and highly-rated Best Week Ever. He'll next be seen in the upcoming Todd Phillips/Scot Armstrong feature School for Scoundrels with Billy Bob Thornton and Jon Heder, The Onion Sketch Movie, Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story, and an upcoming improvised sitcom for TBS called 10 Items or Less.

Paul has also written and performed on Comedy Central's Crossballs, the WB's Make My Day, and CNBC's McEnroe Show. In addition to those shows Paul has done projects for HBO, Comedy Central, VH1, Noggin, Oxygen and the TV Guide Channel and has made numerous appearances on The Today Show, Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Weekends at the D.L..

The Village Voice has just hailed Paul as a comedian "soon to be a household name" so as you can imagine he has a tremedous ego and now only wears Adidas track suits. He'll also ask anyone he comes in contact with to avoid eye contact with him at all times.
