Amy Poehler is currently in her fifth season on Saturday Night Live and her second as the co-anchor seat opposite Tina Fey on “Weekend Update.”
Known for her outrageous characters, Poehler has played the hyperactive “Caitlin,” “Amber” the one-legged reality show contestant in parodies of The Bachelor and America’s Top Model and “Zoe Anderton” the co-host of the pun-packed British entertainment gossip show Spy Glass. Poehler has also contributed memorable impressions of Kelly Ripa, Avril Lavigne, Sharon Osbourne, Paula Abdul, Senator Hillary Clinton, Sharon Stone and Michael Jackson. Poehler also garnered attention playing a world-weary Barbie opposite hosts Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.
Poehler joined the SNL cast from the Upright Citizens Brigade, a sketch/improv troupe originally formed in Chicago.
