Scenes from Monologues and Interviews with Chad Carter

The class will explore different techniques for improvising scenes from monologues and interviews. Learn the techniques used in the UCBT improvised shows ASSSSSSCAT & Myspace: how to extract comedic ideas from monologues & interviews, how to analyze and heighten those ideas, and how to initiate them effectively. The class will also consist of further study of general scenework.

Prerequisite: Completion of Improv 401

Class size: 16 students

Class meets at MetaTheatre in West Hollywood

Chad Carter

Chad Carter is a writer and improvisor based in LA. He has performed in a lot of festivals and shows with silly names. Currently, you can see him in MySpace and ASSSSCAT at the UCBTLA. He has written for ABC's My Kind of Town, Comedy Central's Crossballs and the upcoming Creature Comforts on CBS.

Chad Carter is a trained physicist and tries his best.
